A Letter To Prospective Dog Owners, from Dave Coop, The Canine College
Having been a professional dog trainer for 30 years and I have been training puppies from Geschenk Von Gott German shepherds (formerly Waterton Canyon German Shepherds) for almost ten years. It never ceases to amaze me the time and effort Monette puts into her breeding program and the health/quality of the puppies she produces on a regular basis. All the puppies are bred and raised in a family environment with love, care and around many children. Monette also puts the extra effort and care of thoroughly screening potential owners, puppy testing to evaluate and properly place the right puppy with the right family. Any family that is fortunate enough to be accepted to the GVGGS Placement Process is expected to attend a puppy orientation class free of charge where they get the benefit of her expertise in genetics, health, care, nutrition, socialization, adjusting the new puppy to the new environment, general physiology/development and training recommendation of their new puppy.
Monette also has an amazing "gift puppy" program where she provides a puppy from each litter free of charge to a family that has had hardship in circumstances, such as the unavoidable, untimely death of a young dog. This is the only program of its kind that I have heard of and is Monette's way of "giving back" for all of the blessings she has received with her own dogs.
German shepherds are my overall favorite dog and I have personally purchased two puppies from Monette Demuth at Geschenk Von Gott German Shepherds and have been very satisfied with the end result of the adult dogs. I have also had the pleasure of training many puppies for Monette's clients with great success. They are very trainable family dogs that I have had great results with.
